Brain Injury Association of MA

Our speaker will be Stephen Machnik , a brain injury survivor, who is a spokesman for the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA). Stephen was injured in a skiing incident in 1995. He has had many setbacks, as well as triumphs, related to this unfortunate accident many years ago. He will share with you some more intimate details about how his brain injury has affected him in his life, as well as talk about brain injury awareness in general and will be sure to give you info about BIA-MA.​

A private, nonprofit organization, BIA-MA provides Support & Resources to brain injury survivors and their families; Prevention Programs to educate the public on the impact of brain injuries; Education & Training for brain injury survivors, caregivers and professionals; and Legislative Advocacy for improved community services and safety laws (seat belts, helmets).
