Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley

Snow policy - no school at Nashoba, no Rotary meeting

Recognition:  Paul Harris Fellow Award presented to Andrew Bluestein, Emma’s Cafe owner for all his many contributions to both Rotary and the town.  

Happy Sad fines:  Ron-district brunch great and well attended, new club called Passport trying to attract members with flexible and affordable model, open house in a month; Mary-wreath sale last Saturday with Susan & Howard, sweet brother made her a beautiful sculpture of Tower Hill; Anthony Cahill (guest) happy to be there to tell people about new park in Worcester; Gene-O enjoyed the holiday party; Steve - Cabin fever tix on sale, please buy; Bob - almost done Xmas shopping; Ray - wife has fractured her sacrum; holidays with family near and far; Richard - president next few months, passport club excited about, “”Better to Be a Gift than to get a Gift” - loved that quote; Rich-daughter coming to them, grateful for friendships here and where they live; Jacky - fun holiday party, health and safety, winter fest!; Nanci - TY to all who have been putting in so much time of Winter Fest, have a safe and fun holiday; Pat - happy to be here, sad about weather; Susan - happy to become more involved at Rotary, husband also had a great time at party, Rotary and volunteering has given her a great opportunity to talk with her children about giving; Howard - happy holidays, driving to Florida 12/26, Wreath sale on Sat brought in $954!; Carol - party great, district went to Pops, New clubs exciting, went to Enchanted Village, thankful for heat, going to Florida for a week!; Laura - Stow Women’s Club breakfast got good publicity, going to OH tomorrow, Steve got Rotary into the Independent as a local Charity!!; Ron - Christmas gifts to RFK, we contribute $500

Global Grants:

Cartagena to support literacy training for teachers.  50 students and 1x1 help. Studying the program for 3 years to measure results.  

First Responder Treat Trays - January 30 - Catherine will send out a signup sheet.  We will compile the trays on January 30 and deliver them. 

Speaker:

Anthony Cahill from the WooSox - he is the season ticket and corporate events manager.  He went over plans they have and how exciting it is for the city and for the team. 70 home games, 150 events are planned so far!
