Club Assembly to review visioning goals and progress, no speakers this week.

  • Nov 14: District Foundation Dinner.  Invite going out - $40 pp

  • Nov 17: Thanksgiving gift bag donation deadline - Laura will send a list needed items or monetary donation even better.  

  • Nov 19: Club pizza social, bring snack @ Nanci Bishop, 353 Old Bay Road, Bolton - bring items for Isaiah French’s Homeless project (see list below)!!!

  • December 10 - Holiday Party at Simon’s House - We will invite other clubs!  

Announcements:

  • Winterfest - February 1 - All hands will be needed both before to help spread the word and on the day of.  This is a prime opportunity to reach out to all our communities and to people of all ages! Chili contest, sled parades, scavenger hunt, snowman contest and so much more!!!  If you aren’t on Facebook group yet - GET ON IT and SHARE! 

  • Ray attended the Right To Repair hearing in Boston to change legislation to require manufacturers to include repair instructions and make parts available for electronics.  

  • Jeff Loeb announced the Jazz Concert to benefit Street Children of Equador.  Friday, November 15th from 7:30-9:30pm at So Acton Congregational Church (near RR Station) - proceeds directly to non profit UBECI, working daily to prepare children for entry into Quito public schools.  Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door.  Tickets at BrownPaperTickets.com

No Speaker - Club Assembly  

Detailed review of 3 year goals & progress from visioning reviewed.   Lots of success noted, more to go! 

  • Winterfest will be an excellent opportunity to  connect with government/officials from our three towns (and Maynard too!) and show people of all ages what Rotary can offer all of them (and how they can get involved)
  • RFK involvement discussed and how to possibly revise our involvement to be more productive/good use of our time and theirs.
  • RYLA scholarship recipient interaction discussed - work in progress to try and engage parents more.
